When I finished to read this modern love essay I felt so touching and mixed with some complex emotions such as fear, helpless, and even joy and sadness.

This is a real story about a mother with her 2 years old baby who named Judah’s life. When Judah was born, his father filed for divorce. Then this mother took her baby lived in New York City and far away with Judah’s father. Two years later Judah’s father remained in Texas and the mother and Judah was still in New York. After Judah’s father finding out about the cancer, he called to Judah’s mother and said want to visit them and see his son. However, Judah’s mother still remember when she felt most helpless time Judah’s father far away to her. Judah’s mother raise and care of Judah whole time without his father. Meanwhile, she also expressed symmpathy about his father’s cancer. With the contradictory feeling, finally Judah’s mother decided let the son and his father to meet together, she didn’t want to get any regret to herself and her son.

Unexpectedly, Judah’s father and Judah turned into a good relationship. There are some touching details about their love part. For example, when Judah known his father was really sick, distress filled his eyes. And he said “I don’t want Daddy to die. I want to see him.” hard to imagine, this is a only 2 or 3 years old children really loving to his daddy, although this was the first time contact to each other. I can feeling the strong love behind this father and his son. In the end of the story, Judah’s father dead after they meeting two days later. Judah was angry and sad at the news, but mostly uncomprehending. He kept asking when his Daddy would stop dying and come back to us. This is what a cruel event happend in a little kid’s life! I felt so sorry when I am reading this part at that time. It reminded thinking about one of my best friend, she lost her father when she was 10 years old in primary school. Her mother raising her in the future days. She is a tough girl and she was never lift up her father’s death.

This story taught me to more cherish ours life. Keep love everyone in ours short and beautiful life.
