When I finished my high school life, I felt so excited to turn into my first college life. I think this is like a dream for me. I am looking forward to college life because I want to leave out with my parents, want to be independence girl, and want to meet to more different friends. Today, all things came be true. Not just like a daydream, college life gave me more pressures from an overload and the second language issue.
So how to be a successful student in college? I still think about this question. When I finished to read this lecture by Dr. Joseph Marolla, I think I got some great idea. For instance, Dr. Joseph Marolla said, ”many of today’s college student are qualified to enter the system, but they are not ready to take full advantage of all its opportunities.” I agree with this idea. Yes, we got chance to learn more skills and knowledge but we are not ready to plan our future studying. Sometimes we might loose these wonderful chances in college life. So how can we do better? I think the most thing is build a stable study foundation in the freshman year. Like this lecture told us, “From A 21st-Century Education: the class targets six skill areas that we feel from the foundation of college success as well as success after college.” If we want to be successful person in college or after college, we should have a solid foundation of study or any skill area. It will help people to learn and get more knowledge in the future studying. Meanhile, build a great foundation for myself also can save time and money for future learning because people will not make the same mistakes in the same question. We will get more self-confident to be a real man, not just a student.
